She had surgery on one of her eyes today and when I spoke to her earlier before I had to leave for a meeting, she was in great spirits.

She will go back in on Wednesday afternoon to have surgey on her other eye. I am hoping and praying things go smoothly on the second eye.

Bob called yesterday and I was supposed to call him back but got so tied up I was not able to get back to them until this afternoon.

Bob and Grace have both done so much for the promostion of our wonderful breed.

Bob take care of Grace and take care of yourself.

Prayers are headed your way!!!

My mother recently had the same surgery. When it goes good, it is a piece of cake. Her's didn't go so good.
My thoughts are going out to Grace.

What kind of eye surgery...may I ask? I know I will need it myself one day (cataract removal)...

I hope Grace does just fine....!! :D

I want to Thank Everyone for your thoughts and kind words. Grace had the surgery on both eyes now and she went back to the hospital this morning for a checkup. The doctor said everything went fine and she does not have to go back for another checkup until the end of July.

Terry it was cataract surgery and it only took about 1 hour for each eye. They do the surgery when you are awake and Grace said it didn't hurt at all. She went to Nature Coast Hospital in Perry, Florida. She just has to wear sunglasses when she goes outside for a couple of days.

Thanks again to all
Bob :D

My Mother had that done - she was upset she couldn't really enjoy going for a ride ,because she couldn't see all that well - but loved it when she had done - I still remember her being suprised at how much detail of things she hadn't seen before !
 Now she will be able keep an even "sharper", Eagle eye on Bob ;-)
And no barn duty - can't get anything in her eyes for a while
Glad she is doing so good !

Monty,

Grace is a very strong willed and determined person. When we got back from her checkup I was working in the office and looked up at the barn and there she was cleaning stalls and putting out hay for the horses. I went out and yelled up to her and she said she was fine. She is going back to work tomorrow and really enjoys not having to wear glasses any more.

Bob :D
