Crest Ridge Supra Cinch???????

http://crestridgesaddlery.com/CRSSupraCinch.html

I am teaching my fiancee to ride & noticed the rear of the saddle rising up. So, for now i am goin to put my ties on his saddle and run them thru the back.
But that Supra Cinch, wow, it is really what I need.

Any opinions on this?

Looks like it would work. I would spend some time lunging the horse to get it used to the different feel that type of rigging creates.

Sounds like you have a good one! He understands your pain over the loss of your mare. He wants to learn how to ride. Pretty good!

This a good cinch that is designed to keep a well fitted saddle in place but if your saddle is lifting in the back in normal riding or with out a rider I would check the fit of your saddle. If you cinch down an ill fitted saddle just to keep it in place you may get more problems than you are looking for...

Paula, He is!!! :D I thank God everyday for him!!! He has never been married & he has been in a few bad relationships. He is the most gentle, caring, supportive & warm hearted person I have ever met. He helped me & my son thru some real tough times with my ex & stood by us strong. My son has never had a real father in his life & my ex constantly verbally abused him every chance he could to the point my son was talking suicide. Mark has stepped in & claims my son(now 18 & graduated with a 3.8 in all Honors classes) as his own. He loves my horses and is anxious to learn more about Pasos. My shy Melinda will even gladly go to him without hesitation!!

Back on the girth, Mark has a western saddle with 'O' rings in the back. I am almost sure this would work for him!!
I am seriously contempating getting it for him to better secure his saddle.

Agree, 100% A woman here rode her horse anyway, and ended up having to give him a full YEAR off to recocer from the back pain, and he still hasn't gotten over the pain-fear when you mount.

A bad saddle fit is a bad saddle fit is a bad saddle fit...

You know we rode two horses today in english saddles, single girth, up and down mountains and never had any lift.

I don't have lift on mine, but he is inexperienced and I want to take ALL and any procautions to keep him safe. He is realizing that anything no matter the exprience can happen.
The other day I was riding Grey and she stumbled pretty good. I started to go over her, but thankfully she flung her head up to stop me. I hit my jaw pretty good, but never come off. After she got situated, she stood completely still till I was situated. Thats a GREAT MARE!

Def sounds like an ill fitting saddle. Too wide at the withers. If your like most ppl and can't afford to just trade saddles, try getting a riser for the front.

I will try that. This is a saddle my mom bought Mark on Ebay. It was cheap & not a name brand. It will do him until we can afford a better one. He is riding Crystalchick
