:( Like just about everything there is some bad news and some good news about Greenville Country Christmas and Pasos On Parade.
The bad news is the Greenville Women's Club can no longer run the GCC activities and so after 21 years Greenville Country Christmas may just become a memory for many.

:D A few in the community have volunteered to keep it going. The American Legion and the county commissioners have offered some support and the county is trying to get a grant for funds to run the activities and the parade.

 There is going to be a special meeting July 12th to decide whether or not to keep GCC going. I'll get an e-mail address to send your comments to if any would like to support the GCC program and like many of us help to keep it going. If it is voted to end GCC that will be the end of Pasos On Parade also. But, we did have 4 successful years and although it was a lot of work for me and Grace, we had fun and for awhile helped to promote Paso Fino horses.

:D Just wanted to say a "Special Thank You to everyone who helped out in those 4 years.

Bob :D

Hey Bob That is not going to happen. Keep the faith. :) But "IF" it does then you and Grace can come down and we can bring POP to High Springs.

I know every year they want me to ride in my own home town but my first commitment is to POP where ever they may be.

Have no idea how the meeting will go but I am hopeing for a good turnout at the meeting and with any luck it will go on. The President of the Womens Club asked me to take over the entire show and coordinate the activities but it is just too much for one person to do. Just getting the stuff done for POP takes a lot of time. I told her I would help out all I could but right now I am not sure how much help I can provide.

Thanks for all your efforts over the years. I understand what an undertaking it is to put something like that on. Kudos to you for doing it this long. 8-)

Good luck getting the help to keep it going, Bob, I know we had fun when came down there. Thanks for all you have done to promote Paso Finos and for your hospitality.
