I've seen my share of Zorses advertised on horsead places, even got close to getting one (when common sense hit) but I have never seen a pinto zorse..

Unless I'm mistaken,...they are like mules, sterile. No babies.

Too cute! I've heard Zorse's were very hard to train like Zebra's are.

Let's see, on the old BB there was a woman (help me Terry!) who lived in Colorado and had a Zorse. She also had a Zebra, so if you wanted to try for one of these spotted, striped babies, that would probably be a good place to start. I don't know anyone else with a Zebra.

You are very correct Carol - they are sterile and very hard to train... This is not something anyone should under take lightly. On the other hand I have seen a couple of zorses that were very nice and were ridden.

In referrence to training Zebras....I once read where someone who owned one said...
"there is a reason why all those Africans have WALKED everywhere for hundreds of years. If Zebra's were so easy to domesticate, don't you think you'd see everyone riding one around Sahara?"

CarolU..it was Jann Bach.

AND yes..they look cool but they aren't for everyone, very hard to train and stubborn as mules with wild-ness "built in".
