My little colt out of Josephina de Gracia, Little Bit, is starting to responde to Mark. :D
I told him if he could make him sweet & respond to him, he could have him.(Oh heck, I was going to give him to him anyway  ) Everytime we go over there Mark would sit in the stall with him. LB seems to be responding by looking and taking just 1 step to him at a time.
Since LB is in a seperate pasture, Mark thought he was lonely & asked what he could do to help that. While in Wal-Mart I seen one of those Huge boucey ball, so he bought it for him. A purple one.
Mark spends all most all of his time at the farm trying to get LB used to him.
I think it is starting to work!!!!
Hey, I have what every women wants!!! A good man, that loves my horses just as much as I do. WOW
I didn't know they excisted anymore!!!

No suggestions, but....

Seems like you've managed to snag one of the rarest kinds of men - willing to learn/work with horses!!!!
Lucky you ^.~

Really!!! Unlike my ex, he really cares about ALL my horses, donkey(he loves him), cat & dog.
Oh for the love of God, we have a Betta fish, I got a Betta tank. Well, Mark thought is was too small for it
So, of course we had to buy a 3 gallon tank. :surrender So I just gave in & let him buy one. Then he said it didn't have enough things in the tank. :duh So now the fish has a condo & floats in a forest.
Suggestions? you Bettcha!
it's called PICTURES! :D

suggestions YES - stop talking about how great he is around horsewomen :D :D - keep him under lock and key too
I have a husband like this - he does chores, handles the ground work, builds what the animals need and loves me for being animal crazy...
For me it's a way of life (I'm a ranchers daugher) for him it is a learned skill.
They are hard to come by so consider yourself very lucky..

OMG YOU ARE RIGHT DANA! I can't believe I didn't think of that!!!
PICTURES, WOMAN!
I had that problem with my last ex, too. Was actually kind of scared of the horses. Got her up on my aunt's Rocky Mountain, but she was just not pleased. Ah well. She was more a dog person, teehee.

Okay, Okay......Next time we go out I'll take pictures of him.....
Hey, if ya got something good to brag about(horse or man) ya just gotta to it!! ;-)
Yes, he works on the farm!!! While my ex sits and drinks and does nothing(as usual)
We bought a 99.00 bale yesterday and he forked it into the stall, while I unloaded. Whe we were resting, he fianlly said "Now I know why you don't want to go to work after working here. This is hard work......
Quick learner too!
I left it up to him to take care of Little bit......He is doing such a GREAT job!!!

I'm gonna brag too. I have a wonderful hubby who never rode a horse before he met me about 2 years ago. He does farm chores, feeds horses, rides with me every weekend, and even goes to the local open shows and ACTUALLY SHOWS :D
I haven't lifted a feed bag or hay bale since he's moved in! He cleans the barn, hooks the trailer up, is old fashioned enough to think I shouldn't do heavy or dirty work LOL. If only he knew that I've run my farm alone for most of my life
The only thing I miss is the mowing. I just love to sit on that little John Deere and watch the grass get cut. Oh well, so little to give up for so much!
Oh, he even thinks he should do the laundry and I just fold it  Nobody tell him anything different.....

I think your story sounds a lot like Greg Mixon and Pete...and you can see where that has led.
Good luck.
For suggestions, I'd say keep it interesting, keep it fun, don't nag, don't lecture, and don't point out every mistake they make.
If you have any luck training a man, I think you can make money writing a book. I think they are a lot like Zebras, cute, but hopeless when it comes to listening or being good for anything. ;-)

OH NEVER!!!! He listens to what I say & watches me intensly. He is quite smart. I NEVER put him down or nag, he will ask me first if what he is doing is right or wrong. Very attentive!!
Really the question I asked was concerning Little Bit. Is there anything else we can do to occupie him more, so he isn't so lonely???? Mark just hates to see him alone.
Uh Oh!!! If it were up to him, Little Bit will have a condo too..... :confused :surrender :duh

Now I never thought of that?!
He had to be seperated cause he was trying to mount the mares.
When he turns 2 I am going to have him gelded.
(Mark just hates the thought of having that done. MEN)
