Appears central Texas is having problems...we are not so far away and can pasture some horses and even have a guest room. Let us know.

Ditto here...have five stalls open in the barn, plus a good large pasture for a few if they're used to being together. We're 150 miles from Houston and Corpus...half hour south of Austin.
Got a guest room in the house for the humans too! ;-)

Carol...you are a Texan......LSU has put together a rescue network...anyonw in Texas done the same? Looking at the flooding, know horses are in need but HOW to find out?

I don't know, Jane...I'm sure that somewhere there must be a list of places offering refuge...but I don't know who takes care of it. I get emails sent to me from folks from other groups but no one ever mentions any.
I've just listed myself on this site. I think that's still active.

You know, I'll check with my girlfriend who is a barrel racer...there probably are people in need of places to put their horses.
