We will be having a treasure hunt ride. Thanks to Carol U for the Idea.
Where: Watson Mill State Park in Comer Ga.
Cost: $40 per entry
Time: Ride out at 11 am.
Prizes: Gaurateed 1 prize per rider with a chance to win.
1st: $100 cash
2nd: A color tv that is AC DC powered, great for your camping trips
3rd: A dvd player
4th: A leather halter
5th: A grooming Kit
Each paid entrant will receive 1 grab bag to start the ride with. At each treasure chest (total of 5 along the trail system) they will have the option of trading or not for an Item in that chest. Only one visit allowed. And if you opt to trade you must trade. Each item will have a ticket taped to it. At the end of the ride (2pm) you will turn in half of your ticket for the drawing for one of the top 5 prizes. All remaining items in the treasure chests will be offered at an auction at 2:30 pm. Remeber these items have tickets on them, the more you buy the more chances of winning you have. Following the auction and all tickets being turned in we will draw for the top 5 prizes. Lunch will be served starting at 1pm and continue until all food is gone or bellies are full. The lunch will consist of hamburgers and hot dogs. Lemonade, Tea, and water. If you would like to bring something as a pot luck, feel free to do so.
We are currently looking for an association to put this event on and a volunteer group such as 4H to help run the event. 50% of proceeds will pay for gift items, Prizes, Park fees and dinner. The remaining proceeds will be devided up between the non-profit volunteer group and association putting on the ride.
