I know about Profeta, Nevado, Profitiza, Castellano, Retorno, Resorte... But do you anyone else that is familiar? What do you think of the bloodline? Thanks!

I think Cerezo is a highly thought of line these days...especially through Cereza. Check me at pasopedigree for that (you can search).

Desvelo, who you asked about in the other thread was sire to Cerezo. Desvelo was an excellent producer, excellent confo, I think correct brio, and good temperament. Always a bonus in a pedigree...in my opinion. I think most people admire Desvelo...he was one of the hallmark Stallions of all time, in the breed. You can read scads about him..and find photos at pasopedigree..just do a search on his name.

Caruso de la Ate is a full brother to Contrapunto (one of the big three, Bochica, Contrapunto and Resorte IV)...there is video of 'Punto on pasopedigree too...might be titled "Mejores Tres"? Caruso and Contrapunto readily passed excellent temperament, gait, great confo, and DUN...if that matters to you. There is a photo at pasoregistry of Caruso (in his profile). It doesn't quite do him justice..but it will give you an idea. He was bred by Eduardo Tobon (Carlos' father).

Perhaps the most famous of Desvelo's get was Anfitrion, but we had some other good horses here, and you will see him very much in Col lines, particularly for top producing MARES, and certainly CEREZO daughters, more than sons. He was a brown horse, and I can always tell, as there's a certain refinement yet robustness to the conformation, and very good, deep hindquarters and great hock action.....an elegantly shaped neck, long poll and refined throatlatch.
I saw video of Cerezo, a Mighty Mouse among stallions- he couldnt compete because he was too short, but demo'ed at many shows- exquisitely gaited, brio, a complete package in conformation, gait, etc. also a dark brown, almost black horse, perhaps a bit more short-coupled than other Desvelos.

You're welcome..so who does he favor? Also, being my naturally nosey self, I checked out the lines of Resplendor de Sociagro. I recognized the owners name, and remembered reading about this much loved stallion on their website. Her's a link to the story...some stunning photos of him as well (in case you weren't aware of it). Perhaps another few clues to add to your arsenal of info. :D

Hey
We believe that he takes after more of his mother's side. He is fino like Monarca, but when you saw Monarca being ridden he was finoing but he did not look like WOW, he did not stand out extreamly well.
My stallion has more brio I believe. He is flashy. When you see him you notice his hocks conformation and gait. Not that I have ever ridden Monarca but this is just what I believe from being a spectator, owner, and breeder.

PasoPerson I posted pictures of Cerezo and Desvelo in the Colombian Paso Fino board - hope you saw them!
