Mom and I have really enjoyed having the La Fortuna horses at the farm to ride.
Toby has been a perfect gentleman. He hasn't pinned his ears in the stall one time, and has barley made a peep. Mom was really impressed.

after looking at these beautiful pics,I first would like to go riding,but we have so much ice and snow,and my next reaction is that I'd like to hop in my truck and go south...I may just end up visiting some of you...it's just the worry of leaving my horses for someone to take care of for a length of time,but I really think it would do me some good...I have some american money in an account, not much,but enough for a little trip,so don't be too surprised,if after I get feeling a little better and things quiet down,I may end up on your doorstep....it would probably do me a world of good and give me some motivation and determination to turn a new leaf....

Gosh, thanks for all the nice complements....and yes, I have, rode, nursed Lori, and worked cows off a horse all at the same time. ;-)

4Marry.....The La Fortuna horses are on a farm in Miami Horse Country. They have a nice line up of horses there. Toby(Tobias del Ocho)...the chestnut with blaze is a pretty famous stallion. He has many wins on his mantel. They also own another famous Stallion....Panorama, also with quite a line up of awards to his credit. They have some offspring of both stallions and the little black horse..."Mina" --- Her daddy is Panorama, and her granddaddy is Tobias de Ocho. Both Fino Stallions. She is going to be one hot little tomallie!


Well, sadly, they left to go back home today around 12:45. :cry: But they said they would be back to ride again. Carlos' son (Steven)has not stopped talking about this place and can hardly wait to come back.

Hey Fran, come on down. We have a spare bedroom. You can enjoy the peace and quite and ride to your hearts content. IF its to dead around here for you after a while, you can always head to Maimi for a little excitement ;-)

Wow, ya'll are SO lucky! Lovely horses. How old is Toby now? I think Mina has the sweetest little face! On a funny note, your cousin looks a lot like our barn manager's son!
