That is what the rumor is anyway!?!!
He is supposedly filming in the upstairs of one of the downtown buildings. He has been sited at some local eateries.
I think I will be running a lot of downtown errands for the next few days. ;-)

I know a couple people who met him when he was here doing the third Pirates. They all said he was very nice, considerate, made sure he met everyone there and was very gracious. That is quite a compliment! We've had a lot of stars here (the Salt Flats are here, Touched by an Angel was filmed in Salt Lake and out here a lot) and I must say that is the nicest I've heard anyone say about any of them.
The only famous person I've ever met was Patricia Cromwell, and I got to give her a tour of Dugway facilities. She used some in her book, Unnatural Exposure. I had 'kind of' met her once before at a writer's convention, but there you are on of hundreds. Very nice, very intelligent.

LOVE Cap'n Jack!!!!
My claim to meet the famous up close. Betty Grable was the famous "pinup" girls whose picture (rear view in a bathing suit with her head turned around so you could see her face) all the GI's had on lockers and walls and so on during WWII. Her legs were insured for a million dollars back in the 40's mind you. When I was at the University of Arizona her daughter was a student there. (Daughter looked like her dad - band leader Harry James by the way). I needed some shoe polish and had run out and was going door to door in the dorm. I saw this blond lady with a gray wool dress on and a rather ordinary guy standing in her room and I stuck my head in to see if she had any shoe polish. She didn't. Then it dawned on me - these were her very famous parents. And even in her at least mid 40's Betty Grable's legs were still really beautiful (knee length dress by the way). I felt like I had met royalty because to this day I don't think a woman has been as idolized as she was by all those soldiers.

Mmm....Jack Sparrow is a man I would actually consider! I think it's the eyeliner and that girlie run of his, HAHA.
I've met Sara Gruen (writer of Riding Lessons and Flying Changes) at the Equine Affaire in MA a few years back...HAHA I was such a geek. She was in the Knight Equestrian Books booth and I saw her out of the corner of my eye and FREAKED OUT OMG. I was SO excited that I was shaknig (I was in love with Riding Lessons, haha!) and she just laughed at me. It was quite cool!
And then she e-mailed me :D :D I was very excited.
I want to meet Julianna Margulies. And Diane Lane. And Sarah Jessica Parker.
Hmm...
Amanda :D

Too cool.. Do you have one with Orlando Bloom? He's my favorite Pirate eye candy, but he is not as entertaining as Jack Sparrow...er....Captain Jack Sparrow.

In northern Mn while I was filling in on the overnight shift on the weekends for THE only local 24 hour convienient store, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill stopped in.
They were passing through the area and their tour bus stopped at a local resort for the night. They were looking for someplace to get a bite to eat. They weren't overjoyed to hear the SA was their only option in that neck of the woods at that time of night, lol, but not unpleasant.
Both were pleasant and gracious. And ended up being in the otherwise empty store about 15 minutes. I never let on that I recognized them and just allowed them to be people.

Went on spring break to CA, met Larry Hagman at Nudie's on Rodeo Dr. He gave me a $100 bill .........of course it was a JR Ewing $100 bill. He was very nice but very pale, that was before his liver transplant. In fact I think he had a drink in his hand

Got Chuck Yeager's autograph at Indy in 1994, then found out 10 years later that Scott Crossfield (his rival for breaking the sound barrier, see The Right Stuff) had been living 20 miles down the road from us. Sadly found this out because he crashed his plane (at 84 yrs old) and was killed.
Got all the drivers autographs that year, got to have a little conversation with Mario and AJ, Nigel Mansell (F1 champ) plus Bonnie Blair the speed skater. Mario is so cool to talk to. Spent most of a day trying to dry a children's ractrack with the owner of the Indinapolis Motor Speedway, Tony George, nice guy but really bland. The drivers are a lot more fun...
Oh, and Lance Armstrong is cool and all but he can't make a latte. And NFL players are really much taller in person than on TV, but NASCAR drivers are mostly really short.
