Color fun of the day - tobiano and splash together.

This is not a paso, but is an excellent example of what happens when you combine tobiano and splash. The dam is tobiano maybe with sabino and the sire is splash. I swear, I have seen pinto pasos marked up like this foal. It is not just tobiano at work, and I still believe that the blue eyes in our pintos are caused by splash. I wish there was a test for it!

;-) I agree Mel. I keep saying allot of the white folks are calling pinto or attributing to tobiano is really spalsh or sabino.

What I'd like to know is the general time line of when the genetics for white patterns came into the paso scene. We assume continuity but I'm not sure. It may have appeared, disappeared and then reappeared.
