LONG-haired chihuahuas?
Umm....the mommas are short hair - one 'palimino' the other brown .....they do have 1 long-haired one, not sure if that is the daddy.....I can find out though!
They will be for sale, these are not big-name people, they have a few dogs, 2 horses, will be selling the puppies, not sure if they will be registered....
If anyone needs more info, please feel free to PM me.....parent dogs are friendly, even with little kids (Tori wasn't afraid of them!)

When a dog gives birth it is called whelping. Just like when a horse gives birth it is foaling, and a cow gives birth it is calving.

I have to say, before I got Amigo, I really didn't like those dogs either. But I have changed my mind since having him. They are really smart and fast learners!
Are either of the parents "apple heads" or Teacups?

I like little dogs...I like ALL dogs...I'm just afraid the hawks and owls around here would like little dogs too. My vet's wife's, miniature Yorky got taken out by a deer two weeks ago. She was a basket case...so, I don't think I want to chance that.
I'm looking to get a miature Aussie.

I LOVE little dogs. I have had a Pappion (sp?) very smart little dogs, tough too. I have had 3 Poms, not as tough but really sweet, and too cute.
I see a long haired Chihuahua in my future.
Nothing like a little cuddly lap dog

One of the two lost dogs that showed up here on my birthday was a little Boston Terrier. I've never seen one before, in person, but he was a really sweet, friendly little guy. His ears hadn't been cut, and he looked like a miniature Boxer.
Carol -- I saw a miniature Aussie puppy at the Festival of the Spanish Horse. He was beautiful -- blue merle with blue eyes. I would have brought him home if not for the $1200 price tag.

That is my biggest fear hear Carol. We have a huge owl here & Amigo would make a nice appetizer.
I'm looking to get a miature Aussie.
They sell those here, how big are they? I am assuming they look just like their bigger versions?
Marci, just asking because the apple heads are more money. Whether they are registered or not.
We took Amigo aka Peanut to tractor Supply & I was offered $300 for him.
I guess some people just like the tiney dogs???

What's an apple head?? Sigh...I love Chihuahuas ....wish I could take one...
But I would NEVER let it be outside alone....I don't even leave my Sheltie outside alone...

Don't forget the deer Chihuahuas some are breeding. Tall long deer looking chihuahuas.
My idea of a lap dog is a 140 pounder like the handful we have here ; ) They are great in the winter LOL
The mini-aussies look a bit differnt to me. Their heads just look a bit different in a way hard to describe.

What's an apple head??
It is the way their little heads are shaped. I guess like an apple. Let me see if I can find some different pictures to show the difference.

LOL! I can't believe the outfits they put those little critter in....OR the prices!!!
I stopped by Linda's house again today - she has 1 Apple Head female that is pregnant, and a Doe-headed female. They are both bred to a long haired male she has.....I am going to go back down there this week when it cools off to work her horses and will try to get some pictures (when I figure out where I put my camera!).
I have a price on the puppies, please PM me if anyone is interested.....it is a fraction of the price of the puppies on that web site!

I thought those puppies were obscene. Now that would be cut long haired! Specially if they are teacups.
I will say one thing, these are the easiest dogs for me to house train. Just a little over 2 weeks & he is potty trained to go outside to do his thing. 8-)
