Hubby finally gave in and asked me to call his DR - he ended up in emergency room Thursday afternoon, with an imbedded kidney stone :-S
Had it reamed out and broken up with a lazer today ,plus a stent put in - and was told he has 2 more in each kidney .
He felt sick last weekend and Tuesday told his one boss he thought he had another kidney stone - last time was about 20 yrs ago !
Well, he now knows he has to call if he has ANY hint of a stone !
He could have stayed in the hospital another night ( I wish he had LOL) - but, I brought him home tonight .
:D First thing he did was grab some apples and go see the "boys" and give them a treat ! 5 geldings and 1 stallion ! So he is fine - LOL
I NEED a vacation though !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow! One neighbor had to have his kidney stone lazer pulverized and another had to have surgury because it was an egg-shaped quarter size! Glad your hubby is doing better.

I agree with the Cranberry Jucie...highly recommended for a healthy urinary tract.
Glad you found out what the problem is and he's doing better now. Noting worse then feeling miserable.

I loved the comment our daughter made - ROFL -"Well, it is great to see Dad acting grown up about going to the DR!"
He did get the TOTAL explaination - he had started renal failure ! Dr really gave him the word and about watching it and his diet - And about calling even when he "thought" it was the kidneys - not waiting! Better to go for a false alarm than what he just went through!
He has to watch it - if he went into renal failure - he would end up on dialysis and because of the type of stones - would NOT be a candidate for a kidney transplant !
One good thing he has done - since he had umbellical hernia the begining of May - he has lost 40 lbs ! Has another 40 to go !

I'm glad to hear he's feeling better. With a warning like that, he's not likely to ignore his symptoms again.

Men tick me off. Your hubby lost FORTY pounds in THREE months? Crud. I wish I could do that! I've only managed 27.4 lbs (you'll notice that every little bit counts *grin*) in 6 months. *mumble. grumble. grouse.*
