The weather is ridiculously warm and I don't have to do anything in particular tomorrow (except worry about Thursday), so I'm driving hubby to the city (so he can work) and then I'm heading to Rose's place to ride her Pasos. She is training a green horse. I'm riding her quiet, quiet, quiet mare. She wants to put some miles on one of The Divine Miss Em's sons and I want to get my legs responding better.
My legs: I think things are working a whole lot better now. Obviously, last year I was pushing it too soon. I sat The Divine Miss Em with about as much stability as Humpty Dumpty! This year I can get on by myself and I have a certain amount of stability once I'm up. Now to ride and ride in order to keep improving.
So, tomorrow I ride her grey mare. 15.2 and a real peach. Temperature is supposed to be around 45-50 degrees! Weird ... but wonderful!
I wonder if she'll let me argue politics! *grin*
Nah. Not gonna happen.

Now don't you and Rose get to arguing politics and fall off your horses fighting over some bozos neither of you can do anything about.
Have fun (and I'll be jealous! I'll be at work tomorrow!)

Absolutely, Terri. The more the merrier ... but YOU have to wear a padded fat suit!

Terri,
I would love to have you come join us. What time will your flight arrive? I'll change the sheets in the guest house so you don't have to go straight home!

Guest house? When can I make a reservation? THIS year, some how, I am making another trip up there happen--geesh, it's not like you are half a world away. And Jane? Got a guest house? Hint hint....lol

Sure do, Bonnie!
You'd have to bunk in with our hired hand though. He's a short, bald, hairy, toothless old Newfie ... but he's an agreeable sort, so I'm sure he'd skooch over and let you have half the bed!
Don't even need notice. You can just show up! *grin*

Bonnie,
We have a small guest house. It is just 8x8 with a bed and a heater, it is nothing fancy but it works. We are curently building a bigger guest house. It should be ready this spring. The new guest house will have a small living room with a fold out futon, a little kitchen, and a bunk room. It will not have a bathroom so people will still have to use the outdoor biffy, or walk across to our house. I am very excited about it.
The shell of the new building is in place and I am looking forward to having a place that our friends and clients can come and stay for a few days. I think most people feel more comfortable if they have their own space, and they are more inclined to stay a few days if they do not feel that they are imposing some one elses home!
You are more than welcome to come stay anytime!

A guest HOUSE! Wow, way cool. I don't even have a guest room. I have to many kids to have extra space.
A Padded Fat suit???? I usually ride in ski pants in January. Does that count?
It is too bad we are all so far away. I would be loads of to all ride together! :runaway:

You're right about that, Rose. We have a self-contained camper that we use as a guest house quite often in the summer. Everyone seems to want to visit the Black Hills in summer ;-) We have a cute bunkhouse that I'd like to fix up someday too. It is 2-story, looks like a little doll-house (came w/the place), although right now it's just a storage place.
Our weather is nice these days too. It's 65 today (and I'm at work like you Carol) :(
