Congratulations on your new Peruvian, Pasoman. Sounds like she should be a good trail horse.

Just got home from picking up Miss G. Even for this late in the summer she is very golden.
She needs some groceries at this point and a good trim by the farrier but that should not take long... I have dealt with that before.
Have ridden on the trail with this mare before and she has an incredible walk. I am told she is like the Energizer Bunny... she goes and goes.
She has a narrow chest but some nice legs on her.
Will not be taking her out for a couple of weeks. Want her to adjust to her new surroundings and her 6 "brothers and sisters... all Pasos" I don't want to rush her and I have others to ride.
Bought her at a farm auction... Jo Ann's husband died from a tree cutting accident this spring. She ended up selling 10 Peruvians.. she kept five for herself and her sons (older).
This was her main riding horse. When I went to pick her up she was not home...Think it might have been hard for her to see her go. She called as we were almost home.. said it was a hard decision to let her go but decided to keep some younger ones.. Miss G is 9.
I will be keeping in touch with her and will be joining the Peruvian Club that she belongs to next year.
Better check on her one more time before I go to bed.

Some of the best horses youŽll ever get are the breeders trail horses. Its common to sell the best ones to make room for the upcoming babies. It looks like she is very golden.
