Colt pictures 8-17-07

Ever have a foal that did NOT like having its' picture taken? I'm having the darndest time getting good photos!!!!!

Almost 3 months old......turning a nice, dark bay - he is now the color Marci was when she was born!

Lisa...no, not a foal. But I do have an adult who is very camera shy. I have more pictures of Diablo's hind end then his front. All you have to do is raise your hands like you're holding a camera and he turns and goes the other way. LOL I even have pictures of him peeking around a building or horse trailer to see if the 'coast is clear.'

PS...your boy is starting to look a lot like Diablo too!!! Maybe his "God Father" ?? ROFL

He's getting big! Enjoy this year...they're so much FUN.

And.....I have a camera shy horse as well. With all 3 I seem to miss the best opportunities for a photo :(

He might not be a girl but he sure is a pretty colt. Gonna be a dark dark bay like mom, in fact he looks like a carbon copy. LOL.
Darker horses (and dogs) are more of a challenge to get a good picture of. Keep at it, got to take tons to get one that is worth keeping. Plus its just darn fun to snap pics.

You all should have seen him playing with one of the dogs yesterday - I rode Marci a bit in the pasture and he was racing around with the dog following.......not very attached to Mommy either! He would take off around the barn, Marci would not even try to call him! When she didn't follow, he would come racing back - dog in tow!

Babies are always a joy. AND and handful, AND mischeivious, AND........ ;-) But I do love to watch them run and play. Maybe the next time you ride, you could catch some video of him?
