Mark has been sick every since last night. :( He says he feels different & queezy.
Hmmmm. I am wondering if there is a bug going round?

He hasn't eaten much, so I am making homemade chicken soup for him.

I wonder if it's the heat? What/where does he work - if he's outside make sure he's drinking plenty of gatorade or something with electrolytes.

It's supposed to be 102 again today and tomorrow, with no sign of rain. THIS IS INSANE! I feel sorry for anyone who works outside all day.

I'm going to vote for a BUG! I didn't feel good last night either - and was up multiple times during the night! Ugh! (at least Tori slept in until after 8am this morning!)

my son works outside on houses. :( I worry about him.

We work in a newspaper in the mail room. Today, he says his head still hurts & his stomach is still queezy.

He had 3 bowls of soup last night. He drinks plenty of water & we got him a "insta" bag of gator aid when we were in Indiana.

It is so hot outside......will it ever end?

I just heard on the news last night that Moore county(Lynchburg) & Bedford county(Shelbyville) are so dry that they have to take a bath with bottled water. There is no hay or water to feed livestock. Plus, they have asked for help & have gotten very little.

I saw that same story on Fox17.com - farmers are having to sell their cattle because they can't farm this year. They are having to haul water out in tanks to fill troughs because all the ponds are dried up. Hopefully the government will give them some relief. They said Deer are dying too, from a virus because the bodies of water are so low and contaminated.

I live in Maury County, and we are dry as a bone too...haven't had rain in 5 weeks, 5 days, sure hope we get some this weekend.

PLEASE learn from my husband's experience two years ago - he and a bunch of others sure have :!:
He and one of his Bosses were working off site at another company and they decided to just take a break - Mike went to get something to drink and my husband sat down and passed out!
Rescue was called - we spent over 10 hours in the Emergency Dept ---- heat exhaustion!
The result was both companies now have refridgerators full of water and other drinks on site and keep reminding the guys to help themselves !
DON'T wait to drink when you GET thirsty - too late then!
If working and it is hot - take breaks often and "DRINK", don't sip water ! Plain is actually the best !
You can get bottle holders that attach to your belt - or just keep it right there and keep it full and drink a lot and often!
That night was really scarey!

Similar to what I felt a few weeks ago.... which was heat stress and dehydration... sweating, chills, headaches, stomach distress....after getting back home from a trip... from a tire blowout on an interstate and the resulting getting it changed (or trying too at least) in mid-90+ heat on black asphalt. When help arrived I had already gotten back in the truck and turned the AC on to cool down. It would of helped if I hadn't been drinking caffeinated drinks (for energy) all weekend.

Cold ice water is really good in this kind of weather and poweraid & propel hydrating drinks!!!

Yup - Caffine is a diuretic and depletes your fluids - A soda once in a while is ok - but water is best !
Also - if even borderline diabetic - watch those hydrating drinks - your body is fighting the heat caused problems and sugar is the last thing it needs to deal with

I guess it is a bug type. Now, I have a headache & feel achey all over like Mark did.
Mark is feeling much better than he was. Monty, Mark is a total water drinker. He drinks it all the time.
I am the mountain dew drinker.
