I have not ridden her in months. It makes me very sad. :-?

I want this house project to be OVER.

*sniffle*

I think I am having withdrawals.

Well you picked the right time to do it. It's too darn hot t o ride anyway. I've got serious withdrawal and I'm not even doing a renovation - well not a big one anyway. Just pulling up a tile floor and putting it back down again - and not too well I might add.

I know just how you feel.

It's been so hot and by the time I get done doing barn chores ....so late.... I am too tired to ride..

Make time for her....if even only 30 minutes....

Its time well invested in keeping her rideable, conditioned and "interested"

That would be great if I was not accused of having my priorities wrong if I go spend time beyond what it takes for basic care. Riding would make my life heck. Plus, it really is too darn hot to ride right now.

Ugh. I looked at how things are going and I am hoping that I can sneak a ride in on Labor day weekend. Come Oct, I should be home free and guiltless for spending time with the horses. I just hope I can get Phoebe conditioned up for the Nov/Dec endurance rides.

My hubby tries to pull that one on me too. He doesnt ride at all and has little interest in the horses. Everytime he mouths off to me about all the time I spend over at the barn.. I remind him of all the YEARS I have spent running around with him antiquing..which is his main hobby...( I like it too but he is obsessed).. and tell him I am having my time with the horses.. and that is that...end of story.. Actually, I believe he is jealous of the time I spend with them..if that makes any sense. It really doesnt take any time out of the time we spend together because he is usually sleeping while I am at the barn ..due to his crazy work schedule..so that is ever crazier that he would care what I do while he is asleep??? :-?

It usually is not like that, he is just really focused on getting the house done right now. We are a month behind schedule!

I am getting tired of living at grandma's house. She is great, but I need my own space!!!

Do I need to make a banner for the hubby to remind him that you have plans October 19th and 20th, Come heck or High water.

Sorry Mel that you have not been able to spend anytime with Phoebe. I am sure she misses you too. It really has been to hot to ride or do much of anything lately. These triple digits are really starting to get to me around here. I am sure Phoebe appreciates not getting riden on these scorching days.

Anyway, I am looking forward to October 19th and 20th.

I can hop on the computer and check things out here all I want...

I just have to keep some sort of home improvement supply site up so I can click over to it. Kevin is not wise to me.

It is so hot, I really don't need to pull my big butt up on a horse anyway. Poor things are soaked and blowing a bit just hanging out in the pasture.
