Why is it that after you spend a small fortune on dog toys, your dog would rather play with the piece of plastic that my husband spread out in the yard the other day? He was jumping and spinning, and having a good ole time! Niko has more toys than many kids that I know, but he would rather play with a piece of plastic! Anyone have any ideas?

Hehehehe cute?
Why? simple same reason the child would rather play with the card board box the $100 toy came in .
Welcome to the board to you, your horse, your hubby and your very smart dog.

OMG, is that cute or what? Just look at that expression of joy on that dog's face!

Linda,

The expression that you see on Niko's face is always there. He absolutely loves to play...with anyone at any time. He can however, sulk when he does not get his way  He gives me more happiness than I can tell you.

He reminds me of my kitties playing with/in plastic shopping bags...anything that crinkles, rustles and makes noise when they move is a HUGE hit!

my cats' favorite toys are cardboard boxes and paper sacks. They love to get INTO things. So far the pup's favorite toys are my cats (this may change as she bites harder). I have a pasture full of toys for Bruiser. The other day he got hold of a bed sheet I use for training. It was ONE flat sheet. It is now 13 rags. I missed the whole thing, but it is apparent he had a ball ripping it up.

That is one VERY cute pup you have there. Nice thing is, she'll double as a duster and car polisher. ;-)
