All right, I am pulling myself out of a slump & decided to earn my degree in Interior Decorating.

Hmmm, sounds pretty simple huh? Well, let me tell you it isn't. :-?

There is so much to learn & how to do things professionally. From having to learn the history to learning how to read blueprints.
After not even touching a book since being in the Navy(20 some years back), I am realizing how hard it is now at my feebile age to try to learn something new, taking notes, measuring......making time to study & figure out assiments questions. I feel a brain melt comming on... :-?

This is something I have wanted to do for a long time now. I am a DYI'er & am pretty good at it, so why not try to get a degree and make money doing it?
Thank God for Mark(yeah, yeah once again) for being so supportive and encouraging. I was never a real good student in HS, but he says this is something you enjoy doing, so go for it. Wow, never would have heard that 3 years ago!!!

Here it goes, back to the books!!

Getting a degree is tough but it's well worth it in the long run. Stick with it!

I really admire you for going back to school. That is something I have wanted to do, but have lacked the courage and finances to do so. Reading your post has inspired me, though, so maybe its time I started to look into taking classes, myself.

Now, all I have to do is figure out what I want to be when I grow up.

It took me 10 years! Don't look at that way though...just think that a year from now you'll be year older either way, but going to school, you'll be a year closer to your dream.

KUDOS to you!

My Mum did it after my Dad ran off with a youner woman. She did a degree in fine art to make her feel better. She got a 2.2 and it did wonders for her self asteem.

I wish you all the best with this. :D

Oh, I must say this is on the hard part, but I am still enjoying the learning process.
One of my assigments was to read about the history of Interior Decorating. I didn't realize that it went as far back as 17,000 AD. Who du thunk?
