Doing my best not to offend, but why are the TyG horses allowed to get so grossly obese that their necks are distorted beyond reason? I have only seen one of these horses in person, and his crest had fallen. I have seen lots of pics and videos and they just look wickedly fat to me.
What is the point of that? I mean, just how thick can a neck be?

Ok, some of them do have fat necks....but so do some Paso Finos.
But actually, like Don Pepe, he is not a fat horse, and his neck is not fat, and when you see him standing normal relaxed, he looks normal. It's not until he collects and bows that neck does it look so fat. I was kinda shocked when I saw him in the stall, and thought...that doesn't look like Don Pepe...where is his huge neck? But under saddle...it was Don Pepe for sure. 8-)

Of all the TyG I have seen, only one had a fallen crest. I don't think it has to do with the TyG, because I have seen many fat neck Paso Finos too
