here too, but we trailer to a park that has NO hunting!
or wear bells and orange.

We were on privat property but had to pass over 8 farms so better to be safe...it was a wonderful day...no bugs and warm but just cool enough..it was super...we did about 3 hours..

rifle season starts in two weeks for us. then the crazies come out of the woodwork . . . . :mad2:

About 25 years ago I had a bay Hackney work pony, who did look for all the world like a little deer. She came up one morning with a bullet hole through that little space between the gaskin and that back tendon. She made a full recovery, lots of TLC and vet bills later. It's one reason I prefer grey/white horses!

do they allow hunting on Sundays where you guys live??? (anyone) PA doesnt allow Sunday hunting so it is a 'safe riding day'

YES we have several hunting Sundays...Last Sunday was one of them..

NC has no hunting of anything at all on Sundays. Ya'll come on down now, hear?

It is rifle season 24/7 for my neck of the woods. In southern NY deer season hasn't started. I wish they would give us even a half day to ride in peace. It is not even the guns....it is how crazy they drive down the dirt roads that I need to take to the trails. I just don't trust a lot of these yahoos.
