i don't know how to break the news to ya....
i could fill this page with excuses, but i guess i got tired of having to be supported by trainers, farriers, hay suppliers ect...
the more i counted on PEOPLE to help keep up with the needs of keeping a horse the more
i found "you can't count on people" especially those Professionals.
we've gone thru the worst drought here that i've ever seen and hay for someone without a barn big enough to put up a winters supply is non existant....it's not there at any price !!!
on October 12th i had my heart ripped out smashed and kicked to the curb, i had to let Ultimo del Pina go , it's taken me this long to get the tears down enough to write about it !
i'm lost without him, i'm sick, i feel closer to the grave....i can't describe and did'nt know it was gonna hurt this bad............
he went to a good home, and he will be with other horses and get lots of trail riding....
that's all i can say right now, i'm bursting with words but tears come too easy these days.

So sorry, that must have been very hard for you, you obviously loved this horse a great deal. I had to give up the horse of a lifetime, I cried for 3 years and looked endlessly for him in my dreams. I can now look back fondly on those times but I know it hurts, hugs sent to you.

I believe we have all been there in your shoes. That doesn't make it hurt any less, especially as long as you looked for that special horse. Man, that sucks.
Maybe things will even out and you can try again.

Very sorry for haveing to sell your partner, your must have a very big ache and empty space in your heart. I hope in time those will lesson and things will get better for you, is there a chance you can buy him back, if things improve over time.
Many years ago I had to sell my 1/4 horse,it was heart breaking. I sold him only if I could buy him back if they decided to. It was a year later that the ranch was down sizing some of there horses, I did buy him back at the price I sold him for, just a couple of years ago had him put down at age 34yrs. So I had many years that I did enjoy him.
I pray in my heart that things get better for you.

Earl, I missed the posts where you searched for your horse, but your loss really touches me. I'm so sorry, but at the same time I've got hay stored all over town, and have had to cancel a lot of projects in order to pay for it. This is a terribly tough time now, with the drought. So sorry about your pain. Shouldn't have happened to a nice guy like you!

it's too late to fix this......the good people around me that could have easily stepped up to FIX this, all turn a selfish blind eye...it was'nt a money thing, it was a conveince thing, we don't want to be bothered thing... plus others knew the best thing for me....
i know some will think....he must have done something bad to get in a mess like that !
but trust me and my word, my debts we're paid in all ways and all things.
i've not got MAD yet......that's next, payback iz a bummer
I'm so sorry Earl :-(((!I'll tell ya this though...I won't feel one little bit sorry for those people that could have helped and didn't when it comes back on them 10 fold!!!!! That was just plain mean and heartless of em'!!!Your friend,Moniece

Earl, ***IF*** and ***WHEN*** you want to get another Paso Fino, I would like you to come and spend a week with me and my horses.
I only plan to work every other week next year so I'll have time JUST FOR YOU for a full week.
There is a very nice cabin 2.5 miles from me fully furnished with everything you and your wife will need, and I'll pick up the tab or you can stay in my motor home in my drive.
This will give you plenty of privacy.
You have suffered long enough with some folks taking advantage.
We'll teach you everything I know [will take about 5 or maybe 10 minutes, lol] and put you on some horses that are dead broke. I've got 4 from beginner to experienced rider.
Remember, I don't claim to be a trainer, just a decent rider and horseman. I have horses
that I can handle and so can you.
We'll get your head [and Heart straight] and get you a horse that you can handle, and be proud of. You don't even have to think that you must get another horse to take me up on my offer.
ALL IT WILL COST YOU IS GAS TO AND FROM MY PLACE AND YOUR TIME. I can't do any more except perhaps free lease you a horse for all next year and a goat as a buddy.
So when do we plan for you to come??? Most any time after 01-01-08 is good for me.
Earl, this IS NOT an idle promise. Speak to Terry Wallace, she can confirm that I do what I
say I will.

I wish I could write a poem to you like you did for me once, Earl. I am not so talented.
So, let me just say that I am so sorry you had to give up your boy, and your dream, but to not let yourself give up completely. This is but a bump in the road--there is much more ahead and it will be a smooth ride...

Earl, we surely have missed you on here, and PLEASE do take Hollis up on his generous offer. He wouldn't have made it if he didn't mean it.
There is joy out there for you. You just have to be brave enough to put your heart back out there. We are here for you. Please don't let this set back keep you from having joy in your life!
Prayers are going out to you, to ease your pain and give you courage to try again!
