Felix, I am so glad you are still speaking to me! LOL.

Many many thanks Felix! We are estatic at how well Chapolera did at La Mundial! The entire experience is one I will never forget. I am still on "Cloud 9" and can't stop smiling. Glenna and Diego were awsome and Rob and I are so grateful for everything they did to get Chapolera to where she was. And, to think, 2 1/2 months ago, I didn't even own this horse and 4 months ago, I would never in a million years have thought I would have a horse competing in the World Cup, let alone come home a Second World Champion Col. Pure Trocha mare!

Thank you again. And it was great seeing you again Felix! Brittany: it was great meeting you in person! Lori: Always good to see you. And, Alex: a pleasure to meet you as well.

Saludos,
Becky Anderson

Ohhh Becky I was ELATED to meet you and see Chaploera do so well!

And of course...I haven't seen you mention that you got to ride the million dollar baby! And looked graceful and overjoyed!

Congratulations...don't come down off Cloud 9...stay and bask awhile!

Brittany: Thank you! I'll be on Cloud 9 until Christmas at least.

I'm leaving soon to go ride Chapolera. I can't wait. I've only ridden her twice since we got her a few months ago. She got to rest yesterday, I just groomed her and hand walked her. She is just the sweetest mare! I haven't found anything that she spooks at. I can't wait to take her on the Trails! Diego said she could be good at Endurance if I don't mind riding her more extended. He said the Trocha horses were bred and used for that type of thing in his native Colombia. She seems to certainly have the mind for it. And, she is so smooth, as smooth as any Paso Fino I have ridden.

The Million Dollar Baby (Protagonista de la Providencia). What can I say, but OMG, what a thrill. (I just posted about that on the thread Felix did on Protagonista). If I had known what her asking price was, I don't think I would've even stepped foot in the stirrup, you know what I mean? I couldn't even believe they let anyone, let alone, me, ride her before she even competed. I was so scared I would mess her up or something! But, she was a pure professional! Very responsive, and easy and her power just blew me away. Then, when I asked her to Galope, it was effortless. If I looked good riding her (thank you for the compliment by the way), it was because she made it easy to do! What a thrill!

Thanks again and it was great meeting you!

:oI'm so jealous! But, I'm just glad to know someone who has gotten to experience these diagonals and owns such a perfect beauty....two actually! No, three, right? You have a Castellano son too? Or am I mixed up?

Really it was a thrill to see you ride her, and do well, and we'll just credit both of you.

Have fun on Chapolera, and please, please keep me posted of all the wonderful rides!

Thanks Brittany. Yes, my stallion, Candeloso is a Castellano son. We have Emperador, a Trote and Galope stallion, I have another Paso Fino, a Palomino mare, and now, Chapolera, our Pure Trocha mare. All I'm missing is a Trocha and Galope horse! But, I'll be working on that.

What is really coincidental proving what a small world it really is....The Farm that owns (owned) Protagonista, also owned my mare, Chapolera's, Sire and Grand Sire. Her Sire is Don Rafa and his Sire is Cacique Pipinta. It was great hearing some of the family history from Juan Pablo and Sandra, who helped translate.

You know what's funny? On about the 3rd day I told Alex, I want one of each, in each color, and I know I shared that with you too.

You've certainly got the jump on me, but they couldn't get a better person to love them.

I've been away from my computer. Thank you Brigitte. I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to meet you in person. I always enjoy reading your posts. Britzlove: one in every color, eh? I'd have to get a bigger Farm, but it would be neat. Pleasure Paso Fino (Felix): Thank you for sharing those generous comments from Juan Pablo. It was a true pleasure meeting him and Sandra and getting the chance to discuss these magnificent horses. He gave me several things to think about with regards to breeding, etc.

Here are some videos we took at Mundial. One is Miss Glenna practicing on Chapolera the day before her Class. The other is of Diego Bravo having some fun on Chapolera on Sunday morning. He's riding her with the reins in his mouth!

I love to see these vidoes, makes me experience more.... like I was there. I hope he doesn't lose his teeth - says she who was a dental nurse once !!!

My friend has a Grullo Trocha gelding and I love to watch his action so different from my mare and so extravagant !! Thank you for sharing.

Finogirl: Glad you enjoyed the videos! No worries about Diego's teeth though. Chapolera takes such light contact and is so responsive, I think you could ride with the reins in your lips and she'd do fine! But, I know what you mean...there are many horses that would rip your teeth out! LOL.

Any pictures of the Grulla Trocha gelding?
