I am posting this for Lorraine at LS Paso Finos, they have a paso there called Brillante who jumps and is doing rather well. I will leave Lorraine to fill you all in but here is the picture for her -

Brilliante is hanging his legs a little, needs to fold them up more. When he starts doing higher jumps he's likely to rap his legs. Of course a good rap might get him to fold his legs better. Keep working him Lorraine, he'll get it.
This is my old horse jumping. We use to jump anything, it was great!

After you teach them to jump high fences like that one do you ever have trouble keeping them in their pastures? (most of mine are in one strand of electric fence (rarely with electric) that is about 3 feet off the ground.)

Aviso was a natural jumper, he jumped out of pastures as a three year old but most of the time he was in five foot fences. He jumped a three foot fence standing still so I couldn't catch him once:rolleyes: He was a stallion until 15 yrs. old so we kept the fences high anyway. I loved jumping and would jump picnic tables, benches just about anything. I never wore a helmet back then, I guess you get smarter as you age!!:v: I miss the old guy:mecry:

Brillante de five star belongs to a friend of mine - I definately dont jump as I tend to fall off!!! She has only been jumping him for about 8 months and when they first started well... lets just say he was no natural jumper. He jumps better over higher fences, he can clear 3ft easily and really lifts his legs - he is only small, bearly 14hh. He is a son of Postin, forget what the mares name was.
There best in the showjumping ring was 4th place I think out of about 12? He is currently doing the novice.

that's awesome I love seeing people taking these horses to NON Paso events and really competing with the other breeds. It does my heart good.
