View Full Version : Getting ready for Hi-Point Specialty

I've been working this filly for specialty classes. Vicki showed Trail and Western Pleasure last year and this year we are adding Driving. Now to teach this short little girl to jump so we can add Versatility!

That's pretty cool Patti. When/if I ever down-size to Mini's, I'll know who to call to help me teach them to drive.

She sure is a pretty girl!

Pasos are great for driving, they don't bounce the cart like a trotting horse. Vicki is such a great mare, she is very willing to try just about anything. I hadn't trained her for Trail class but we decided to enter her at the last minute at last years Tulsa show. She took a first and three seconds (everyone thought she should have all firsts) out of six horses. It was a Larry Whitesell course so it wasn't easy. Larry won the other firsts, even he said I should have beat him.

I just attended Larry's clinics at the Arizona Horse Festival, bought his videos too...go well with NH training. He does a nice job. Signed up for a clinic next spring in Colorado with him. I hope to have Rosie going well into his work by then.

I have no place to 'drive' around here, so it will have to wait.

Your filly is off to a great start. You may just have yourself a Specialty Champion at Nationals there! I'll be rooting for you!

I adore driving, you are giving me ideas now ! Yours looks lovely BTW - very relaxed and happy in her job. Good luck with the jumping too !!

Very nice!! My uncle keeps telling me we should teach our paso's to drive but we never do! Would love to take a ride w/you sometime! :v:

I've seen that pic before. He can extend pretty good for a Fino horse.:v:
