Oh man.....that is so sad....Poor horse...lucky people.
I hope they don't ban carriages there in Thomasville...like they are trying to do in NYC......sad, sad....:(

I talked to my friend Doyle Conner this morning who also provides carriage rides at this event. The horse had a heart attack and panicked as he went down. He was not killed by the tree and didn't go "berserk" and crazy. It was just a very sad ending to a nice horse. He was a black/white draft cross and was only 8 years old.

Someone should tell the news people that so they can post it. I'm assuming that a necropsy (?) was done and that's how they knew it was a heart attack that is.

So sad and also scary! I too hope the news people get it right and print the correction so the owner doesnt get a bad wrap... So sad.... I love carriage rides....

News people love to hype things up because it's in people's natures to get excited and want to know more when they do that !

What a shame. Poor horse. People do get excited and exaggerate. Considering how many freak auto accidents happen all the time and autos aren't banned you wouldn't think this freak event would affect the use of horses and carriages.
