SQUEAKS

There were some extremely slanderous posts on another BB against me and how I reported Leila's accident. Those posts have been removed and the owner of the BB flahorse.com has allowed me to copy those posts in case I want to take any legal action against the poster. Whoever posted the remarks had no idea what happened or how the sheriff and I corrected the story so that people could better understand exactly what happened.

It is so unfortunate that some will post things they know nothing about. I have talked to the sheriff about them and he is checking into if it was someone from his office or someone affiliated with emergency services made the posts because of the wording they used in the posts.

The mistakes made on my part have been corrected and approved by the Madison County Sheriff Pete Bucher. 850-973-4151 if you care to verify anything.

I never want to print anything in my paper that is not the facts. It is my name on the ownership papers and I think a lot of it because my parents gave it to me.

Bob,
I feel like I know you well enough to know you would never not report the truth. Mistakes are made sometimes, if they are corrected then everything is OK.

Hang in there, it's not easy to have people bash you, even when you know, they know nothing about the situation!

Bob - some people just don't have a life so they spend theirs trying to make other people miserable. We all know you print the facts as you see them or as they are reported to you and that you will correct any errors. So don't let small people cause you grief.

because I just don't "get it". I cannot fathom why anyone wants to intentionally hurt another. For what? For years I didn't believe it. Unfortunately, I have finally come to accept it. Not the slander, but that these mean-spirited people exist.

But the thing is, Bob, if you let 'em get to you, they win. (Exactly what they win is a puzzlement to me, but they seem to gain great glee from "winning".) Sue 'em? Why bother? That only puts you in a state of angst. I say, laugh at 'em. It will cause them much aggravation! *sly little grin*
