I know I am a picture addict...lol...thanks for tolerating it.
But I took the cutest pictures of Nancy and Snowy today. Nancy had never ridden in the snow before, so it was a real treat for her...and Snowy was so happy to see her.
Every old horse should have someone like Nancy in their life...someone who thinks you're perfect even when your back gets a little swayed.
Check out that smile.

One very happy Appy playing in the snow.

That first photo would be a most perfect Christmas card for Nancy!
What a cute pair they are.

Great pics!
How do you keep the snow from balling up in their hooves? We rarely have snow and when we do it is a wet snow that balls up really badly. They end up looking like they are walking on high heals.

Paula,
Both guys are barefoot...you don't tend to have snow issues when they don't have shoes on. At least, not in my experience.
I made Nancy a montage of her and Snowy. She said she has made absolutely everyone she knows watch it. I'll have to make her a second, winter one :) Then she can torture her whole family again....lol Her husband laughed when he thanked me....he said he has only seen the video about 50 times....

Shelly,
I think he looks good, too. He's a little heavier this year than last year, but I think it looks like a good weight for him.
Nancy rode him often this year...and that made him even a better ride for when my family wanted to ride him....so he's more fit this year than last.
I think he's totally settled into his blindness now. He uses his hearing much more now than he ever appeared to. You'd swear he was looking at you when you talk to him. He focuses his entire attention on you.
