I think I am leaning to the black and white one. But then again I am a aspiring black and white landscape photographer so I already love black and white..lol

I prefer the color photo.
I do like b/w photography, but I feel the color photo already shows enough contrast between light and dark while the color actually enhances the visual appeal of the photo for me.

I am partial to all back and white photos, they age them in a special way.

Most of my work, at least any work I've done seriously is in b&w. But I do think that in this particular photograph, the colours work beautifully. Mostly because there is hardly any color in the print, but what there is, is subtle and soft. Personal opinion.

Thanks all!

I blew up the black and white one and boy does it look dramatic! I am going to frame it...

Edurne: Do you have a website for your black and white work? I am aspiring and my web site is in my siggy.... I would love any other of your opinions too!

This particular photo is not what I would consider my professional stuff and wont be on my site, this pic was just for fun...

You are right in that the b&w one is "dramatic" in contrast to the color one. I do see your preference. I happen to love b&w work. Professional work sometimes has to meet "criteria", which is not neccessarily what one finds artistically appealing.

I like the b/w. Perfect for hanging on the wall :)

I like the colr best. The black and white has too much gray for my taste.

...has too much gray for my taste.
 Wha...?

I like the photo with color. The color is so subtle, yet I feel it adds just enough dimension to the subject matter and draws you into a personal and loving moment.

Can I choose c, both of the above? They both look great. I think the black and white is the better of the 2 for your sister. It gives a little more contrast between the face and hair.

I think the color picture brings out more of the features of the horse. Can you edit to show your sister in b&w and the horse in color? :-?

If I have to pick one I would have to say the color.

I am terrible in photoshop LE, I wish I could try keeping him in color and her not.. But I dont know how to do that in photoshop... aaahhh

In one of my christmas artistic horse shots I wanted to keep a horse black and white and the christmas garland in it's original green color but I tried for a week and couldnt figure out how..

I hope to learn more about my photoshop, there is so much I could be doing!
