What my Mom just said is that they can get very obvious teats before whelping. Probably if there is milk dripping, birth is getting really close........just like horses.....I just did a quick search on line and didn't see anything that specified that....birthing can be determined also by temperature checking.......

No babies yet but she is definitely close.Her teats are HUGE and my goodness she's got bags.Tonight she's become restless too.I got her whelping room ready tonight and she definitely likes it and knows it's for her.I had taken her to be Xrayed so we know we're mostlikely looking for seven pups.We are just sooo excited about this breeding and can hardly wait to see the little buggers.I'm hoping for a healthy beautifully marked blue meril female.It's possible but probably probably not likely.But hey,i'm gonna be inlove with every one of them anyway :v:.Your friend,Moniece
