Yes she does. She has a degree in fine art and works mostly in watercolor or oils.
Here is her website: http://www.pixiesart.com
She has some made into fun stuff: http://www.cafepress.com/pixiesartstore
(I tried to talk her into doing one more Paso Fino artwork and sell a set of cups)
And for Prints go here: http://www.artistrising.com/galleries/Pixiesart
Shelley bought a print of "White Beauty" and I bought both it and Zar's painting.
She has always painted.

I love the horse butts under blanket. Very nice. (They look cosy, and you just know the other ends are happily munching hay.)

I'm going to add this. I don't think Sarah comes here often anymore, but most of you know her. She has a little buckskin mare named Gypsi, did the rides in Monument Valley, etc. Here is her website:

And some of her work:

Now...if Linda would post some of hers. She also is a gifted and accomplished sculptress!

Carol, thanks for posting both of those web sites. I enjoyed looking at both of them, especially since I need to develop one of my own soon.
Sarah's blog was good for me to read because no matter what your medium, there are some challenges common to the creative process. I am totally in awe of people who can do three dimensional work.
I love your sister's paintings of traditional lifestyles around the globe. What an adventurer! One problem with having lots of critters at home, it makes travel more difficult for sure.

Jen, I've looked at your site, too, also very nice. My favorite of the ones you posted here is the line of draft rumps in the snow, being a horse person.:)

Here is what my two Paso ridin' buddies got for Christmas from me....
This is Magic Lady Mako.... hard to tell from her photo but this mare has the amber eyes, or "goat eyes".
The mare is in her twenties and a daughter of Restless Wind Mako & Mari-Star

I've mostly only done logos lately. But did these pen and inks several years ago. There is also a drawing of giraffes and onyx in the series.

HI CarolU
I see Pixie attended a watercolor workshop of Zoltan Zabo. My mom who had an art gallery and studio had Zoltan do a watercolor artist workshop for the galleries' artists. Zoltan did a one day location painting workshop at the first farm I lived at (with my Paso Finos). It had lots ofsouthern farm scenic and rustic "views" to paint. I have a large watercolor from that workshop of one of the tobbcaco barns at that farm by Zoltan. He has some of those painted there in one of his watercolor books.
see, another *small world* moment. Tell Pixie.... when did she attend one and where?

So these can be paintings done by other people?? Here is a painting of my stallion, Rojo Tejas, done by a lovely lady by the name of Beth Duke Hunold from Houston TX area. I am lucky enough to have that painting hanging in my living room now. :)
The second photo is Red in the flesh...

From Pixie:
Lynne, I took a Zoltan Zabo workshop about 20 years ago at the Foothills Art Center in Golden, Colorado. I learned more techniques from him than almost everyone else put together. I still have his signed book and use it a sort of dictionary of watercolor. It is especially good for teaching. He was a kind and generous teacher and I'm very thankful I was able to take his workshop. It had a big influence on me and my work.
Let me know the page the picture of your farm is on, I'd love to see it.

I have 3 of Zoltan's watercolor books; 2 are signed. The one with the workshop photo from the farm I was at is in: "Zoltan Szabo, Artist at Work", page 114...titled "Hot Morning". I have a 1977 large painting of his purchased by my Mother at that workshop. I'll get a photo of it to pass along.
If Pixie knows Claude Crowney, that was another famous watercolor artist my Mom took a watercolor workshop from in Vermont. My mom was an award-winnning well-known regional watercolor artist and art instructor in NC, before she passed away. I did rural scene watercolors way back when also, and hope to pick up the brush again one day in the future. I do have an oil I painted of a Paso Fino mare Pasiflora Sin Par I rode and showed quite abit (again way back when), I will take a photograph of and post here.

Painting is an oil done by me (a long while back) of the Paso Fino mare Pasiflora Sin Par (El Pastor x Gacela Sin Par). She was one of the first Paso Finos I rode, trained and showed 1977-1984. She competed and won in: Bellas Formas, Pleasure, Performance, Versatility, and Western Pleasure. She was Reserve Natl. Pleasure Mare (Open) as a 4 year old, was IPFS Western Versatility National Champion, and PFOBA's first National Champion Agility Champion. She was one who could do it all and do it well. Wish I could have another just like her.
Next are a couple of my computer illustration with a Paso Finos and a stylized horse.
My online portfolio of other type graphics, etc is at: http://www.geocities.com/lynngallup/unbridledvisions/portfolio.html
