So it might be the holidays I dont know, but I find myself lonely...

I think my breaking point was taking holiday photo's for my best friend and her husband for the 3rd yr in a row now... They were so happy to have eachother..

I want a man of my own..lol

I haven't had a DATE in 4yrs, I am 26yrs old, prime of my youth and haven't found a guy, not even one that looked at me, that I know of.... I dont go "out" persay, I tried church, and horse events, work environment but no luck..lol I have hit on guys with no luck, guess they didnt get it..lol

So I finally went to a online dating service, one of the most popular today, supposed to be all scientific ect. Very secure and pretty neat....

So far I have 13 matches! I havnt pd for the upgraded service so I havent seen pics, were just going off individual descriptions and webhost led q's..

Anway,
Anyone else tried this and had any luck?

I have found so many friends on APF and HorseCity that I figured why couldnt I find a guy somewhere out there in Cyber world too...

THoughts? Am I crazy?lol

That is great news! There is hope..lol

So far I am communicating via the website, answering gernal q's ect, thought it was pretty good so far....

A yr ago I would have said I would never meet someone online, but finding so many new friends I figured what the heck... Dont have anything to loose..

I worry about nut cases, but the website I am using is really guided...

Thanks for a good senario!!!

Wow Jenn,
You and Troy met on line. I would never have guessed it. You seem like a perfect match. Pasofan, the proof's in the puddin'. You've got to try the on line stuff. I think the problem for you may be MN. I hear everybody's brain is frozen over for 6 months out of the year up there.

LOL, yeah MN is frozen alright..lol But I AM getting out of MN! I am trying to move to the Ozarks w/in the next few months, just waitin on a job, have 2 interviews next week..lol

The online dating service is for the Ozark area, not MN guys.. I figured why not look there since I will be there soon. I AM determined to move to Ozarks very soon! Warmer for sure!

My nephew met his partner through an online dating service 7 years ago, and they are still together, joined at the hip and obviously in love. Not the marrying types I guess; we're all still kind of waiting for some announcement (....whatever makes them happy).

I met a very cool guy on a chess website, and we emailed and phoned for several months. Nothing romantic came of it but it was fun to make a friend that way.

Good luck!

There is one that specializes in equestrian matches. I don't know the name of it, but a girlfriend uses it.

Funny story....

My best friend was looking for Mr. Right and kept asking if I knew anyone single. The only person me and my husband could think of was someone he worked with, who we were not fond of. She joined an on-line dating service and had a date. She called me all excited at 1 am after her date. She was excited about this guy, but p.o'd at me because it was my husbands co-worker!! They got to talking and realized they both knew us!!

PS.....still didn't like him even if he was dating my friend.

That didn't last, but she met her fiance on-line and they will be married soon. She had many weirdo's though before she met the fiance.

Good luck!

Great story's guys!! I am glad to hear them....

I saw on Horsecity a advertisment for equine singles, but it wasnt secure at all, made me feel too out there.. The on I am on doesnt give my last name or email info out, only after we've gone thru 4 steps in the process then it is my choice ect.. I like it is structured...

I have weeded out ALOT of guys.. I get to put in parameters of must haves and dont likes ect... It matches guys w/my likes and dislikes... Age, no smoking and drinking, christian ect.. Pretty neat!

I will keep you guys posted, well see what happens!!:v:

I have not met any guys in a few years myself. I am going to try the online dating after the New Year. I have not been able to meet anyone anywhere I go. Some of the stories that I read on these posts make me want to give it a try. Thank you.

Don't get me wrong. I went through plenty of bad apples online as well. It was just luck of the draw I found Troy online rather than in person. It does narrow down the field using likes/dislikes, religion etc to help find someone more compatible.

I wish everyone success in finding the right someone.

Jenn, you're a catch. You could get lots of guys without the internet. Just for the record, I'm not trying to get a discount on your PPR. Two Paso, go on out here and get a guy. We're pretty easy to catch, we may squirm a little. But that's OK, just let the slimey ones go.

I read a story awile back, it was a book about the expirence of a young christian pastor under communism in Romania. He'd gotten his education and needed a wife before starting his life's work, but he didn't know any sutable woman. So he prayed about it. He had a dream in which he saw a lady's face and knew it was his future wife, but he'd never seen her. A few weeks later he was visiting a church some ways from home and saw her in the congregation. He stood up right there and told the people about his dream and that this was the woman he'd seen. Her parents were overwhelmed, she was blind and they had thought no man would want her. But that didn't faze him. He knew she was the one. So the wedding was planned. Because of the status of the family's, the government planned to use the case for their evil ends, (the camaraman was the agent) But as the two were saying their vows, she suddenly started yelling. "I CAN SEE, I CAN SEE" and the comotion so startled the camaraman he ran off and never did accomplish the discrediting as planned.
I thought it an interesting story and the ideal way to find mr/mrs right.
I decided that's what I'd do, but only if/when I think I'm ready to. In the mean time I'm doing all kinds of weird things. Like building a mini foundry to make stuff I can't buy. Too busy to even consider involving anyone else.
