Aparently Gracie likes cold weather and loves to run and play when it drops.She is the only one I have that actually likes the colder weather but boy does she!!She runs around with that head up and her tail either straight up or over her back.Goes bucking like a bronco rearing and striking.Today she thought the water hose was so great that she'd just take her drinks from the water running out of it...then she learned she could move it and squirt Rosa when Rosa would go for a regular drink.When she couldn't get Rosa to play she thought shed try me...THAT was NOT happening...she likes to strike,rear,throw her head,and turn and buck WAY too much to even THINK about giving her the idea that she can play with me!!I gave her a little squirt on the butt and off she went like a wild woman again BUT she stoped at a respectful distance when she came back and was very polite when she aproached.Normally I would not squirt them so not to make them run from water but in this case it worked.It's just so fun to see her have such a big time!!Everyone else I have just HATE the cold like I do.Your friend,Moniece

That is hilarious Moniece! Such a character! I know you'd love to get photos of her.

SloughP will squirt you if he can. He turns on the hoses all the time. We have to use the turnoffs on the end because he'll run the well dry. He doesn't just turn the faucet on a little - he turns it on all the way.

My horse sitter asked me if I left the water on and I said NO. Then it kept being on mysteriously. Finally I caught him in the act. He takes the round part of the hose bibb and turns it with his teeth - all the way on. And he will play with it then also. You'd better watch Gracie. They are waaay too smart!

We have to watch it when we do change the water in the tanks - JR -(daughter's Fresian/Percheron stallion will put his whole head in the tank and when he comes up - he will blow water at you out of his nose !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He only got me once - now I am ready and duck ! ROFLAO!
We have 2 pens that share a water tank - Jr was on one side and Cody and Monty were on the other side. I can hear when our well is running ,and it seemed it was running at odd times one morning - but it was hot - so figured they were drinking a lot - until -----------------------------
I went out to my one greenhouse and heard the automatic float hissing ,and water being splashed :rolleyes:
Monty is Mr. Dignity - he would NEVER be caught doing silly things -;)
I looked out at the pens , Jr was on one side and Monty on the other, they were having a water fight !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Each took turns putting their face in the water and coming up fast - so it got the other one ! I ended up laughing so hard - they both stopped dead with a look like - MOM - He started it !
I know now that I have a camera that can do videos - I won't be lucky enough to catch them doing that again :(
