Halloween costume patterns at fabric stores are a good resource.

It depends on what "theme" you want to go with. But I agree, the costume pattern department at fabric stores are best if you want to make something from scratch. Also your local thrift store will have inexpensive items that can be used for your costume's "base" which can then be altered or improvised upon.

What sort of look are you going for?

I might be able to sketch something up for you and get my mom to help me make something. I have 3 pretty neat designs in the works right now. We don't use patterns, I just sketch my ideas out and my mom goes to town. I am learning to sew so I can make them on my own.

If they allowed teams on project runway, my mom and I would be there in a heartbeat.:p
