I don't get on any but the safest, most docile, anyone-can-ride horses...well, yesterday, I did just that...I rode my stallion, Rojo Tejas. :)

Actually, it's been a long time since I've even ridden. Everything that needs to be done around this place leaves no time nor energy for riding. The last horse I rode was my old gelding probably over a year ago. So it seemed so strange that the next horse I wanted to get on was my stallion, but truthfully, he's more calm and less spooky than my gelding. He really is an exceptional horse, and he passes on that exceptional temperament.
Red was the hit of the party yesterday afternoon, everyone wanted to take a turn on him. Here's some more photos of our horsie party, and one of my clients and dear friends, a lady in her sixties, on Red too.

Don't let that woman in the last post fool you...she's got her own very nice high steppin' classy Paso mare!

Here's a very sweet young man who I've hired to put some riding hours on my horses, and he's trying out Sucsesora de Capuchino, my Cappy daughter.

And we even pulled out our resident Quarter Horse, Fletcher, for my friend from Wisconsin. She rides a 16 H. QH so she felt more at home on Fletch, and he was happy to oblige!

It was a wonderful warm day, topping out in the upper seventies...today it is cold and windy and blustery, sigh. You have to take advantage of the good days when you get them.

What a beautiful couple you and Red make. It's for sure your boy is a winner.

We totally love our girls but there really is something special about a good stallion.

Kyle rides our boy more than I do but the few times I've ridden him I couldn't stop smiling. Aren't we LUCKY to have found this wonderful breed and such great friends.:D

Aw...Nance, that's sweet of you to say. Thank you! He's a good boy...not a mean bone in him...and yes, I am partial to stallions myself. :)
