When we got our LQ trailer it was decorated in a southwestern motif but with no bedspread. I looked and did not really find what I wanted so I bought a dark brown Ultra Suede comforter and this is what I did to it.

Wow...now aren't you just the talented seamstress? ;)
Very NICE!!!!
You realize the only way I could do something like that is with fabric glue? I have ZILCH talent with sewing.

Now, why didn't I think of that! I was looking for a nice bedspread for my trailer, too. That is VERY nice! Yes, you should sell them!

That is too cool! Did you hand cut each Paso horse?

Yes, I cut out each and every horse, every star, there are 6 different sizes of stars on that thing. First I had to find a Paso that I liked, trace it out and transfer to some stiff paper so I could use it as a template on the fabric. Then to find a fabric that I could mark the back of and it would not fray when cut. This would be a lot easier if I was computer savy and could change the size of things on the computer but I can not. Then to find all of the different sizes of stars that I needed. I can not sew anything but a straight simple line so the horses and stars are put on with "Stitch Witch" which has to be cut into little tiny matchstick pieces to go underneath the legs and ears. If it is not covered by the material then you get goo on the comforter when you apply the hot Iron. Then there is some fabric glue involved in pieces that were just too hard for the stitch witch.
The comforter is Ultra Suede and the horses are heavy duty ultra suede with a backing on it that I could draw on to cut out the horses. You people do not have any idea what you are saying when you say, "You should sell those" I looked at Southwest bedding and did not find anything I liked under $200. and foolishly thought that I could do way better than that. By the time I got through I was telling my husband that the $200 spred was looking better and better.
Here are some of the places that I looked at bedding.

Very nice! I'm making a horsie themed guest room (like anyone wants to visit Maryland, but maybe one day...) and would buy one. I'm afraid I'm not good with sewing and would probably end up with a sleeping bag. :o
