My husband and I went on a trail ride here in Brooksville this past Sunday. The horses we rode with made our pasos look like midgets! But a couple of them had to trot a few times to catch up to us. It was a really nice ride. Here are some pics my friend took:

Here we are about to head out on the trail from the trailhead, from the left, the big grey is an Oldenburg, then there is Dave on Legado, me on Alegria and the last horse is an OTTB.

Bree on her OTTB, his first trail ride ever, he was great! They are both moving to France this week.

The only wildlife we got to see were some baby quails (we think), they were so cute...the Oldenburg almost stepped on them! It was her first ride too and she didn't even bat an eye at them.

cool, nice ride great looking horses all them and of course you riders look good too. I hear down in Brooksville area Forever Florida Back Country Horsesman are making sure trail preseravtion is taking place and marking of equestrian trails so as not to have four wheelers and bicycle trails end up emptying out onto horse trails and creating probs since most are single track trails. I like shared trail concepts unless it is hazarous. looks like it is well marked and some shaded trails.

LOL! Yes, my saddle and my horse!! I try to make it as comfy and nice a ride as possible for Dave since it is sometimes hard to get him out there with me.

And I actually enjoy riding Alegria out on the trails more than riding Legado...but don't let Legado know that.:v: She is great, not bad for a "show" horse.

KFischer - yes, definately! Just let me know when you want to go. I would like to get out every weekend. Have you been out to Croom?

Oh yes, Croom is nice, I don't go very often, we tend to go mostly to Serenova & the Wellfields. I havent been there, or Townsend park in at least a year so I think it is time to revisit!
We are riding this Sunday @ Serenova.. You could join us there! It is just West of the Suncoast on 52..
Maybe we will go North next weekend..
