Hi guys, it has been forever since I posted here. Anyone miss me? No, I didn't fall off the face of the earth, it has been a busy, crazy winter with family, kid issues....etc. But Spring has finally come to SE Mass and I am crawling out from under my rock. I belong to a local riding club and every Spring we put on a parade clinic to encourage riders and horses to participate in parades. This year I talked them into allowing me to put on a Paso Demo in conjunction with the clinic. So despite a raw miserable morning we got a decent turn out and ran a very successful event. We had 4 Paso Finos - my Rio's my Daughter's Incendio and Kim's Dueno and Centuaro. We also had 1 Peruvian - my friend Emily's Rico. Erin was the educator.
Here is Rico making friends with balloons. This horse was amazing - the wind was blowing like mad and the balloons were hitting him all around the face - he didn't care. We also shot the horses with silly string and played with cap guns. It was great.

Then the demo! Erin printed up all kinds of info and acted as educator - what a great job she did! All the horses gave test rides. After riding Rio, one lady hopped off and immediately called her hubby to "come over and try this out RIGHT NOW!!" She told me later his he spends most of his time just trying to "stay on his horse" when ever they go trail riding. Look at that Paso grin.

One Grandmother brought her small granddaughters. The little girls had to try ALL the horses!!!! Including Kim's stallion Centauro. How many grandmas would put their 7 yr granddaughter on some stranger's 6 yr old stallion? But Centauro was such a gentleman, how could she resist?

The grandma herself rode 3 of the horses. Centauro was the star - she was sooooo excited after riding him - she was grinning from ear to ear. One gentleman told me that he was like riding "water" - amazing. I think we just need people to try them. I had a neighbor tell me, after trail riding on Incendio, that Incendio made her remember why she loved riding to begin with. Here is a group shot or two
