Took a few this morning as he was having breakfast......

Also, he was walking a LOT better this morning - I was able to really clean out his foot yesterday, no sign of anything....and I do think it is a joint - he was more sore after I held his leg up......

Anyway - at almost 1 year old (next week!).....got him prettied up a bit yesterday also (burdocks out of mane/tail!)....and he sure has the hair gene from DADDY!

Oh - and if he will just get rid of all that fine baby/winter hair - can't wait to see how red he is! Looks like he is lighter than Mom and Dad.....

Glad he is feeling better, he looks pretty big for a yearling. I like the way he keeps an eye on you while he's eating. Smart boy, huh? :-)

I'll have to take my tape and measure him....but yes, he does seem to have grown 2-3 inches in the last couple months! He is just a week shy of 1 - should throw him a party! LOL.....

He was keeping an eye on me to see if I wanted to pick up his leg again I think! LOL.....that, and he is curious/loveable too.......comes right up to me in the morning to see if I'm ready to feed him - and also talks to me or Mom when it is chow time!

if it is the joint you should run cold water on him for a while and keep him in a stall, he sure is cute and with being such a baby should heal up quick... The poltice is always a great idea to sooth the joints and tendons that are sore.

Thanks for the input......gee...if I was a stay-at-home Mom I could do it....haha.....:tongue2: :mecry: (I work full time, plus 2 hour commute round trip..)....ever try to stall a 1 year old who is used to being out 24/7? Hahaha.....I already have one door blocked off with a round pen panel from him almost going over the door!

Seriously - I really do appreciate everyone giving different advice.......hmmm...I think I have some liniment around still - will have to look.....and see if I can get it on him. At least this little guy has sense....he may be skittish about things, but he has NEVER offered a kick - he will move away first if he can - then gives in!......

He was barely limping this morning, will see this evening how he is and make him move out a little to see if he still limps.

Babies sure do heal fast......now if his gelding incisions will just close, I can bring him up to my house and have more time to work with him every day!
