View Full Version : Mijo,as i'm calling him,is home and doing great!
What a good boy he is :-)!! And OMG I got to meet his dad who is absolutely one of the most BEAUTIFUL horses I have ever seen!!! And not only beautiful but SUPER sweet and loving!!We are thinking...and praying that Mijo got the hair gene from his dad.WOW!!! I spent alot of time with him yesterday bonding and just ADORE him,he really soaks up the loving and I love that.My hubby who is not really a horse guy has fallen so inlove with Mijo that he keeps mentioning stealing my new horse and has gone out checking on him even more than I have .Yep, i'm gonna have to fight to keep this one mine.Based on meeting his dad,Randy has already got Mijo pegged as HIS riding horse when he grows up.We'll just have to see about that! He loves scratches all over and you can touch him any and everywhere.I could not be more tickled with him,I simply love the sweet fella!Your friend,Mo
Will add lots of pics a little later today :v:

Can't wait to see!
Here's a few of Mijo :-).Too bad I can't take a good picture to save my life lol. Good thing he didn't feel like going anywhere, without breaking them he removed the bottom two strands of my fence wich is not hot at the moment for some reason and let himself out of the pasture.I woke up from a nap and looked out to find him out.I went out and he came right to me for scratches. I sat on a boulder and scratched and loved on him for a good long time then put him in a stall and fed him.Life is good.I'll have to get it fixed tomorrow.Your friend,Mo

Very cute! He looks like a sweet little guy. Nice that he is apparently so well halter and tie broke already.
Yep,I should have tied him higher, not so much slack, but it is SO nice that he has been taught and worked with on so much.Your friend,Mo

There is nothing that irks me more than youngsters who are not handled and are scared and wild. I firmly believe in touching them as soon as I can when they hit the ground everywhere, and I do the same every day if possible- if only for a few minutes. I also teach them to lift their feet right away, and not far down the line, they learn to be tied next to their dams while feed is dispensed, and that teaches them to be led by being brought to their bucket, teaches them to stand tied patiently, it shows them ropes/leads are nothing to fear. I also work some on loading. Sam/Mijo went into the two horse trailer with no force, just with patience and lead pressure, and a little pressure by standing really close from behind. He was nervous, but willing. After a few moments of panic just before leaving, he settled down and was a tropper all the way home I was told. I enjoy the fruits of my time when as they grow, they are comfortable around us and what we ask of them, and I love it when someone buys a paso from me and they report back just like Moniece did. He is so cute. I know you are going to love having him. Can't wait to see the pictures when he is introduced to his future herd mates.

Thanks guys :v:!! He is just really proving to be the ticket to easing the pain of Rosalita's passing.I knew a new baby would not replace her, nothing can or ever will, but I knew having a new baby to do all the baby things with would help ALOT and that I would love that one for who they are and it's turning out just as I thought it would :D. I am SOOO enjoying scratching him all over every day...several times lol and keeping up with the things Jonelle taught him and I just love that he loves it too! I am SO very happy to have him and he seems awful happy here too :D.Thanks again for the complements,I think he's quite a doll baby too!! Your friend,Mo
