Anyone know the mother of Gitano Cancion?

Hi, My mare's grandmother is Gitano Cancion (PFHA 3899). Gitano's father is listed as Lucimiento del Pinar, but her mother is unknown. I was wondering if anyone knows who Gitano's mother was? I suspect PPR.

Could you give me your horse's name? This "Gitano Cancion" has some messed up data at Pasoregistry...if that is where you checked. The horse "Lucimiento del Pinar" is listed where the DAM is usually listed, and when you check out his offspring, there is a mare listed as being his named "Gitana Cancion"...who according to the APF studbook has different parents all together. If I have your horses name..might be able to figure out what the danged deal is here...which one is the REAL granddam of your horse. :shock:

Hi, My mare is Starlite de Yellowstone and her PFHA # is 20, 768. After I posted I too noticed the the "Gitana, Gitano" names and couldn't figure out they related. It's an interesting mystery. I'd like to know as it would tell me the percentage PPR and columbian on my mare.

I'll see what I can find out...but the name Gitano, is a male name. Gitana would be the feminine version.

This is a mare that is listed in the old APF Studbook named Gitana Cancion.
