On a serious note I have been not too well recently what with Mum being in hospital with a rare progressive condition called Cardiac Amyloidosis (she is apparently 1 in 30 million - does anyone know anything about it or know someone with it ??) and me finding out that our neighbours are selling up and simply will not sell us the land that our house backs on to (and where we already graze our horses) my M.E. and IBS has come back, am trying to be sensible and rest so that at least the baby does not feel it but obvously the stress is getting to me somewhat.

Anyway, I have written a note to the people who have bought the farm across the road from us. They own 39 acres and all we are asking for is up to 2 acres to rent. lease or buy at no cost to themselves as we would pay to fence and pay legal costs. I have explained the whole situation to them (baby , M.E. needing the horses to be close ect and how we do hospice visits with the minis) and am now just waiting to post it in the next few days. I have really prayed about this one and hope it goes well as otherwise am really not sure what will happen to Cherish and Appy our minis.

Nothing ventured nothing gained as they say but prayers really needed for both Mum and the land.

Thank you all as usual - HUGS !!

My prayers are coming your way. Sure hope it works out. Now, YOU TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!!!! You are carrying precious cargo that needs you right now ( and forever ). I am also praying for your mom, never heard of what she has, but hope that she makes a full recovery.

Hope they reply with a yes ! A no may make a bad impression in the neighborhood, since they are therapy animals !
And take the advice my Dr gave me when I was pg, and there was super stress (with several issues with a family member ) then . Think of a duck - and let the water ( stress) roll off your back !
He was ready to put me in the hospital if I didn't take control of my stress and relax :(
My Mom's favorite saying was - this too , will pass !

Good luck in your negotiations with the neighbors, hope it goes well. There is some info on your mum's condition here:

hope she improves soon.

Hope you feel better soon!

There are five different types of anyloidosis and the treatment and prognosis depends on which type she has. It's odd that you mention this because I suspect this is what my father had and which finally at age 91, contributed to his demise. He was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and atrial fibrillation at age 70 but it was all well managed. He had a pace maker installed some time in his 80's. He was totally active and drove sick people to the doctor until he broke his hip and caught the flu in the hospital at 91. So some types are managed very well and there are a lot of new treatments going on now also. And with a correct diagnosis they won't give her things that are harmful which did happen to my dad although luckily he stopped the medication and was fine.

So good luck with all your medical problems and may you all fell well soon.
