Except Dancer of course.......... Well I have decided to sell the last paso on the place and it's Monnie and Dancer's colt that I was going to keep to replace Dancer... He's awesome and sweet. A popular sport horse breeder thinks his conformation is perfect... (so she should buy him).... He's built like his grandsire, Alicante... almost no physical aspects of his sire or dam. but his disposition is like both of them. He's proud and gentle...

Hay and health made my decision... The ad is on the classifieds as Alicante clone... and
photos can be seen at the webshots website http://community.webshots.com/user/Spirit_Dance_Ranch listed in the Sale and Barter album...

by the way..... what, again, is the means of measuring future height cause this guy is huge... he already towers over the 12 yr old Tiger mare... and he only turns 1 on Tuesday....

Rusal,

Are you continuing with the Tiger breeding program?

You know ever since we talked about Brat, I've wanted to try breeding for a Tiger. But, I'm at my limit of 8 horses.

Seeing pics of this colt as a baby and he looks alot like Elf. Elf has that great hind end confo as well.

Sorry to hear you are selling him but good luck in doing so!

Still no sign of dun markings on this guy yet. Still think he will be a Bay.

Rusel,

Are you continuing with the Tiger breeding program?

You know ever since we talked about Brat, I've wanted to try breeding for a Tiger. But, I'm at my limit of 8 horses.

I'm so happy with the Tigers and their wild colors, Dancer's conformation and gait, and the mares disposition that I am selling the Moonie colt and keeping the Tiger colt. He is totally awesome... Dancer's elegance, attitude and very refined head.... his conformation but with a stockier frame and more muscular.... not QH muscle type, but appy. Refined legs but with a slightly larger foot base....

I was so disappointed when he was born that he was a solid red with a dun stripe.... but now with the baby hair growing out I see his whole rear end up to his shoulders are solid white... supposedly that white blanket will spot out over the next couple of years. But this Tiger colt is one of the best foals Dancer's put on the ground. I'm loving this cross. And I have more individuals asking me for Tiger foals than they are for the paso foals.... (probably due to the few that are produced each year).... but I have people interested in the foals before they hit the ground.

If anyone is interested in crossing to their appy with Dancer let me know.... as long as they are compatible in conformation and the mare has a very good disposition, then I'll breed for free... and you can average $1,500 in vetro for his foals..

So I'm down to 4 horses at home, (1 for sale, the colt) (1 leased paso mare [full sister to Dreamer and WarSong] {still love those Mani horses})..... 2 paso mares out on partnership, 2 appy mares out on partnership and a racing appy mare (slick muscle TB conformation) with Bold Ruler grandsire and endurance appy bloodlines that I am trying to acquire for foundation endurance stock.

Anyone with info about who the paso stallion is that was in the PFHW that completed the Tevis Cup..??? What an awesome cross that would be...!!!

So... I'm still into horses, just vastly reduced the herd to something I can manage by myself. My best appy mare was due May 1 with a Dancer foal and I'm still waiting...!!!!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you....... I thought I remembered it right but at my age and memory it's better to check than to be corrected later for the mistake.....

In that case this colt should hit 15.1 Hands..... He'll tower over Dancer....

PS... If you want to see the photo larger just double click on it and it will take you to the actual webshots photo.... even behind the 12 yr old pg mare he shows larger.... and check out the almost up and down angle of the shoulder compared to the long sloping angle of the Tiger mare.... this boy is going to be tight gaited.... He will make an excellent stallion for a woman to handle.... he is extremely animated but very gentle and responsive.
