My next ride is.....
Love Valley - not this weekend but next and sad to say that Freckles will not be with us - she is going to her new home on Sunday. I'll take both cameras and send you all some photos! :v:

Not Freckles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:mecry:
Love Valley will be a VERY interesting experience. Some of my most entertaining riding stories happened on a single weekend in Love Valley. I have two tips for you!
#1 - Don't try to hold on to your horse while you are in the outhouse
#2 - Don't hang your headstall on your friend's saddle when you go to the saloon, they might leave before you.

That sounds like very good advice for any occasion.

Love Valley is in NC. It's a town that is set up for horse transportation. The only thing I've heard about it is to avoid it during major holidays because it's a real zoo then. I guess like July 4th. But we've been to Disney Christmas, July 4, New Years even - so I doubt it's any worse than that?hehe

Christmas Day at Disney World was the least crowded I have _ever_ seen it...

Interesting. New Years was wall to wall. But everyone was really pleasant and no problems.

Christmas at Disney World was an unusual experience.... :-) Many foreign visitors, more obvious probably because many Americans spent the day at home with their families... Low numbers overall, high percentage of interesting foreign visitors.

Back to Love Valley - I wonder what accommodations are available for horses and riders....

Let me see if I can put this in a nice polite way...
I know that many of you want to see Love Valley. My advice is to go when there are no special events planned. I was there during a special event and I was rather shocked at the behavior of many of the people there. It can get WILD.
