It's a year away, but I'm excited anyway. We will be in Florida next Thanksgiving for a week. I have one day to do the "horse thing", other than that I am doing the tourist thing with the family.

Gee, I wonder who could show me some Pasos????

Barbara - I'm about 45 minutes away from Disney - you can come out and see/ride my guys! I only have two - a very nice pleasure mare and a hot little pocket rocket gelding. I'll be around (with the exception of work days) but usually am off the 4 -day weekend. Keep me posted.

If you go off on tours with Lori - I wanna come too!

Ocala tour does seem in order. I have several places in mind w/VERY nice horses. Maybe even a Trote y Galope horse test ride.....?

Well, if I'll be down there next year, I'll want to find a ballroom or something like it for one night out of the week (or more)... anybody down there in florida know of any?

Got my own :D J dances, but prefers smooth. I do too, but some rhythm/latin's fun- if I can stay in shape, Lol.

Gainesville has a tango/milonga class each sunday, and clogging, and somewhere down closer to Ocala has regular club-style... I have to sort all of it out still.

Actually, scratch that idea. I prefer planning to actually traveling, lol. The more I think about it, the more I hate the thought of going through Nashville, Chatanooga, and Atlanta. Ugh. Traffic. Construction. Yuppies on cellphones in giant, dangerous battle wagons.

I'll stick to podunk, lol.

Ok but Ocala has lots of Sonny's bbq .The one on 484 is always good!I think that would be a great idea.Or maybe do it just before or just after a holiday---so the traffic isn't as bad.Or just do it anytime!!!!

Sure you're coming south! If you come in March, you can help me celebrate my 30th. Or you could just come for Christmas and help me pack! I think I like that idea even better........ :twisted:

NO I can't then, Because I am going on a cruise in June, so I have to save for that, plus Mom comes home the end of March...
I will be looking to visit her in Oct or Nov, next year , like I did this year.

There's also a Sonny's on SR 200 in Ocala. Now for lunch it's hard to pass up the all-you-can eat fried shrimp at Sam St. Johns in Ocala for $6.99 with two side dishes.

When you're planning your trip, you might consider coming when Dr. Davila has his stallion showcase party. Nothing like drooling over all the champion fino stallions while enjoying the open bar and food. Also, the Florida Region has a farm tour over two days where you get to enjoy the hospitality of several paso farms, especially the one at Charlotte Valley, which had it's own show last year and loaned out horses for trail rides through paso country in Anthony.

Well, we booked our Fla trip, so I know for a fact I will be there Thanksgiving 2006. I will get exact dates from hubby and post them.

I still have the notion of having a New York Paso ride at my club. I can't pin down a date for another month or so, but keep June in mind.
