Bringing the minerals to the cows

This is my friend David with his two horses. He is delivering a bag of minerals by horseback to a back pasture where his cows stay at an old family farm in New Hill, NC.

Isn't that amazing...from Vermont to South Dakota (actualy to California), the color of spring is GREEN. And such a welcome site it is after months of white and brown.

Actually, I took my pics in May last year. It's getting green here, but the leaves are just buds still. Most of the native grasses are not as green as the pastures/lawns yet.
