Subject: YOUTH MUNDIAL UPDATE

Dear Parents, Youth, and Friends of Youth,

Please forward this e-mail to anyone I may have left off the list who is interested in helping us make the Youth Mundial a great success. I know there are several…….

The team coaches have been selected and announced. They are as follows:

1. Sherri Teney, Head Coach

2. Beth Uelsmann

3. Carlos Tobon

4. Jaime Escudero

5. Christy Meyer

6. Robbyn Young

7. Diego Bravo

Others volunteering to work with the youth at clinics, practice events, and the competition are former World Champion Riders Shirley Rosario, Chrissie Schwartz, and Brittain Williams AND John Jairo Palaez and I am sure there are others. Please accept my sincere thanks and appreciation for your work and efforts.

Mr. Jaime Suarez is the special advisor/assistant to the Youth Committee for the competition.

We have received good news from the CONFEPASO meeting that was held in Colombia last week. Mr. Marcello and Dr. Laracuente successfully lobbied the board to allow 2 additional representatives from each country to participate in each class of the competition. The rule had been ten, now it is 12. Thanks to both gentleman for helping to accomplish this change.

There are presently 3 clinics on the PFHA schedule –

Chetola Farms on 3/11-12 with Kathy Williams and others

Hattiesburg show on 3/11 with Beth Ueslmann and John Jairo Palaez

El Tomaria on April 1-2 with Beth, Sheri Tenney, and Christy Meyer

A practice show was held in conjunction with the southern regional show in Ocala this weekend. Dr. Laracuente, I have heard extremely positive comments about the show. Special thanks to Diego Bravo for lending his expertise. I know that some of the farms are planning practice events. We need our coaches at these events, when possible, so that we are all teaching the same thing.

IF YOU ARE PLANNING A CLINIC, PLEASE LET US KNOW IMMEDIATELY SO IT CAN BE PUBLICIZED AND APPROVED. CLINICS MUST BE COORDINATED THROUGH THE YOUTH COMMITTEE AND DR. LARACUENTE.

IF you are doing practice sessions, please let us know and please keep attendance.

If you (your child) want to compete in the competition, you need to download the registration flyer from the PFHA.org website, fill it out and send it in.

Thanks to all for the outstanding interest, building excitement, and positive support.
