pasonotti- Can you tell us what the ribbon is for and when/where he got it.

Thanks for asking about the ribbon on Tiger's neck. This is the Legion of Merit . A horse has to have over 1,000 show points to be awarded this ribbon. Tiger received his award at Nationals in 2001. At the time Tiger was only 6 years old and had been showing for 3 years. In 2000 Tiger won 3rd Grand National Pleasure Gelding. We are retired from the show ring and have been having a great time just "horsin" around. Now Tiger and I like to go to schools, business meetings, churches, and retirement homes to visit, give talks and demos. Here is a picture of us at a local nursing home. The people there really love for us to come there, so they can watch Tiger "dance" as they call it and they love petting and loving on him. Tiger is not in the least bit afraid of the wheel chairs, walkers, and funny medical equipment. I think he knows these people are weak and vulnerable. Tiger is a good boy, and I just love him soooooo much! :D

What a great ambassador. We are so happy to have you both here at apf.com Just the kind of addition I like to see. 8-) Your Tiger sure is one of a kind. You will have to keep us posted on all his "public appearances". ;-) It sounds like you two are really loving your life together.

Heck, I need something to do in my "old" age. LOL No really......I enjoy every minute I spend with Tigerboy. He keeps me young, active and happy. He is the one who deserves all the credit. :lol:

I love to see things like this.... how wonderful for those old folks! You know, a lot of them probably had horses at one time - it's nice that you do this kind of thing.
