Dolly, the perforated (and sunk) founder mare I have been seeing is officially derotated on the right front and darned close to it on the left. She still has a long way to go with regrowing good hoof, still draining the last of the abcesses, although I think there is one hiding up in her left still. She is sound enough to run away from the vet and insist that turn out is a MUCH better idea, lol. I wish the owner had gotten pics of the exrays, because the change is so dramatic. Dolly has become a much nicer "patient" too, its so nice to see this!

Congrats Coreen.... I know you and the owner - and Dolly - have to be ecstatic!

This just in from Dolly's owner.. I am so happy!!!!!!!!!!! I will be seeing her in just a few hours, oh boy oh boy oh boy!

First off, I don't want to be falsely optimistic, but Dolly's doing so well right now we can hardly believe our eyes. She's going out in the field and BUCKING. She's trotting in and out on her own. She mills at the gate to come in like a normal horse. She walked COMPLETELY NORMAL AND SOUND on the driveway during one of our walks the other night. She's still underweight, but she's really starting to look good and WHOLE. Her gait is becoming VERY normal in the hind and she holds her hinds up so nicely now.
